On April 23, we had the privilege of hosting our first-ever Precision Talent Solutions Career Seminar, a private event designed specifically for Senior Executive Service (SES) professionals exploring their next chapter after public service.
The evening brought together 53 SES leaders representing 23 federal agencies. These individuals have spent decades leading complex missions, managing large teams, overseeing budgets, and shaping policy at the highest levels of the United States government. They now stand at a crossroads, asking not just what’s next, but how they can continue to create impact beyond their government careers.
We were honored to be joined by LTG (Ret.) Scott Spellmon, who shared his own experience navigating the transition out of public service. His candid insights and practical advice resonated with the group, sparking thoughtful conversations about identity, purpose, and reinvention after a lifetime in government. We were honored to bring such significant leadership together with each person bringing deep experience, wisdom, and a desire to keep serving in new ways.
Our goal with this seminar was simple: to create a space where SES professionals could connect with peers, hear from those who’ve gone before them, and begin mapping out their own transition journey. It was a relaxed, intimate setting, but the energy and conversations were powerful.
We believe career transition should be personal, strategic, and mission driven. This event was just the beginning. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and look forward to continuing the work of supporting this extraordinary group of leaders in the months ahead.
To continue this momentum, we are hosting a follow-up SES Executive Matchmaking event on June 25 in Tysons, Virginia. This gathering will bring together senior government leaders in transition with decision-makers from top companies across the GovCon landscape. It will be another intimate, high-impact event focused on creating meaningful connections and real opportunities. We look forward to building on the energy from April and helping more leaders take confident steps into what’s next.
